The world’s oldest working light bulb which appears in the Guinness Book of Records, still works after 106 years of constant burning. Yes, It’s never been turned off. It now survives in Station One, Livermore, a fire station.
The fire chiefs regard it as their talisman and good luck charm. If it goes out on your watch, it’s a career’s worth of rotten luck. Previous chiefs had even gone as fire as creating a rule : Break the light and expect to lose your job.
