It was only a matter of time before it happened eventually. An American company, EM-SEC, has confirmed that their paint blocks wi-fi signals. This could be especially useful to stop hackers intercepting the signal. It could also help in a server room or in an office which you want to keep the signal contained it. EM-SEC is aiming the product at corporate securities and possibly the governement and military. If you choose to wi-fi proof a room with paint, so goodbye to windows and your cellphone being useful.
The product is very similiar to paint applied in certain movie theaters to block cellphone signals, but at the moment it’s not the best choice for everyone. Rather just enable the wi-fi encryption on your network. It’ll be much easier… for now at least.
