Ink paper and water.
Rules are there to be broken, and these guys were there to turn the idea of a post office upside down.
“Vanuatu Post has created the world’s only Underwater Post Office. Situated within a marine sanctuary, off Hideaway Island near Port Vila in Vanuatu, the Post Office can receive mail delivered in person if you are a visiting diver or snorkeller or sent via the Main Post Office to ensure all mail items receive the special cancellation from this unique underwater paradise.
The postcards are made out of Syntek, a special material which is plastic-like.
It is non-toxic and has the look, feel and printability of paper, plus the durability of plastic.
This means they’re long-lasting and tough, waterproof (NB), they are resistant to very high temperatures and aren’t affected by oils and chemicals.
