Horizon vending machines are popping up all over the place now. They’ve implemented a wide variety of systems, even going as far as allowing parents to pay for their kids’ lunch and just having the kids being able to pick it up from the vending machine via a PIN or a card.
Lately Horizon has expanded even further on their vending machines, allowing parents to track what their money has been funding. Was it a chocolate? Was it a health-bar? This could be a way of preventing your kids from scoffing all the chocolates, but I won’t expect the kids to enjoy the sense of control. The PIN and card system is a great way of stopping kids from carrying cash, but this doesn’t mean that schools are going to start implementing these. Time will tell.
