This is just another one of those news articles which you simply laugh at. What I find particularly funny is that the newspaper / publication prioritized this news above everything else from Mountain View.

It’s a constant struggle for most of us to constantly stay fit, and therefore healthy. The work constantly being shoved onto us, and the many distractions, especially Email, don’t seem to help either. Thankfully there are certain exercises which can be done in the office, some of them being adaptions from full-blown stretches and other fitness activities.
Lifehack.org (which should be in everyone’s bookmarks) has put together a large list of 29 exercises you can do near you office desk. These are all nearly categorized, and so it might not be a bad idea to make a print-out!
Here’s some exercises you can do from the Feet and Legs section:
- Toe raises. Lift your toes while keeping your heels firmly on the ground. While you can do this exercise standing, it works very well while seated.
- Football foot drill. At practice, football players practice rapidly tapping their feet in place, simulating a run. Do the same thing while seated, for 30 seconds at a go.
- Take the stairs. If you need a harder workout, try taking them two at a time — you’ll get a chance to stretch your legs more than you would otherwise.
- Calf raises. Stand in front of a desk or other piece of furniture you can hold on to for balance. Raise your heels of the floor and slowly lower them.
This is one of the more inspiring and ingenious inventions that manage to stand out of the crowd.
The prototype bookmark, currently named ABRACADABRA, is the result of some clever thinking and applied logic by Jung-Hyun Lee, Won-Sik Chae and Rhea Jeong.
The bookmark allows you to easily continue where you left off in your book. All you need to do is squeeze the visible pad of the bookmark, forcing air into the part of the bookmark inside the book, and abracadabra (excuse the pun), you are easily able to slide in your finger, aim your face at the book and continue reading.
A picture is worth a thousand words, as is demonstrated by this picture explaining how this smart little invention works:

Sure, it may have a corny name, but this bookmark has got a lot of guts and a unique idea that could translate it from a garage project to a major financial success. And it’s still a prototype, so the name can still be changed.
I hope so.

We all hate airport security. It’s an unneeded cause of stress, fatigue and high blood pressure, not to mention the many innocent people who are interogatted for a careless bit of fluid. Unfortunately, when something bad happens, everything directly or indirectly related gets beefed up. In this case it was security after 9/11.
So we all get stuck up and spend most of our time in security, though not anymore. Thanks to the Wired “How-to” Wiki, this frustrating procedure will hopefully save you a couple minutes, and a few thousand heartbeats.

This isn’t something you see everyday, let alone build! Hans Hemmert, a German artist, has created an accurate (and colorful!) model of a German Panther, a WWII tank.
The model is to scale, but you’ve got to see it to believe it:

Just to put this into perspective, this is what the artist recreated with some air and plastic:

Rather amazing!
This is just a great splash of humor for everyone, for a rather boring Tuesday.
