In what scientists are calling a “silent invastion”, a seemingly immortal jellyfish is taking over the world’s oceans.

The Turritopsis Nutricula is able to transform itself BACK into a juvenile form after becoming sexually mature and mating. Basically, each time after mating the jellyfish “turns” back into a teenager (juvenile) form. It simply cannot die of old age, or so scientists believe. It is also, so far anyway, the only known animal in the world that can successfully turn back the clock and turn itself into its younger form.

But what I’d like to know is why we haven’t noticed this jellyfish before (although it is only 5mm side) and how it turns itself younger exactly (which is what researches are busy doing now)

I wonder what new range of cosmetic products this might begin?
