You’ve probably heard of the iPod by now, the world’s most used portable music and video player. A soldier needs to relax sometimes, and what better way to do it than to have an iPod. This soldier was saved by it. As you can see, most of the force was taken by the iPod, preventing serious injury. Guess you could add this to the “101 uses for an iPod in Iraq”.
He’s lucky he didn’t get a Nano

Kevin Garrad (3rd Infantry Division) was on a street patrol in Iraq (Tikrit I believe) and as he rounded the corner of a building an armed (AK-47) insurgent came from the other side.
The two of them were within just a few feet of each other when they opened fire. The insurgent was killed and Kevin was hit in the left chest where his IPod was in his jacket pocket. It slowed the bullet down enough that it did not completely penetrate his body armor. Fortunately, Kevin suffered no wound.

>Kevin was hit in the left chest…….
>Fortunately, Kevin suffered no wound.
whoever wrote this fiction story was never hit by a bullet from AK-47 – In real life Kevin will have few broken ribs and internal organs damage – if you making up a story – make sure your story looks resonable
