3 Things I Need to Stay Organized

Posted January 18th @ 6:23 pm by The Internet Journalist

I’ve almost been in every stage of being organized, or unorganized! I’ve lost papers, stationary and all kinds of things that shouldn’t have been lost (I swear, I left my eraser right there!). From losing random notes of myself, to having absolutely no idea what’s going on, but fortunately I’ve decided to learn from my mistakes, and I’ve narrowed them down to having 3 absolutely essential things I need to stay 1-up on what’s going on around me:

  1. Somewhere to store papers. An Expander File is perfect (remember from school?). It’s got a way to label the different sections and can take a lot of paper! It’s an easy way to keep things where they should be.
  2. A diary. Or an equivalent, such as a small notebook. This is basically a place where you can quickly and easily write down anything that needs to be noted. This will save your life!
  3. Some form of Calender. I currently use an online calender, Google Calender but even a simple big desk calender will be fine, as long as you constantly add things from your diary / notebook (See #2). This is useful to check up what’s coming in the following weeks, or to make you aware of incoming deadlines.

So there you have it! This is my bare essential arsenal of organization! I hope it helps you in the future, as I’m sure it will.
