Viper fish


Found at a depth of 80-1600 meters.
Fangtooth

Lives up to: 16,000 feet deep. Therefore it eats anything it can digest.
Dragonfish


Lives up to 1,500 meters under the ocean surface. It’s found in tropical regions.
Angler


Also known as “common black devil”. Got its name from the “organ” it uses to lure prey towards it’s sharp-toothed jaws.
Gulper Eel


Found 3000-6000 feet below the ocean. It’s amazing mouth, which led to it’s name, can unhinge allowing it to swallow incredibly large prey.
Giant Squid

The star of numerous science fiction books and fiction adventures makes an appearance. The picture here shows that this enormous squid is the size of a bus. This creature has a sense of mystery as it always seems to elude us.
Giant Isopod

They live at around 2000 feet beneath the ocean and feed on anything. They grow to around 6 inches long making them some of the largest in the crustacean family.

They live at 1320m to 1760m underneath the ocean. This picture doesn’t tell the full story though. Take a look below:

Vampire squid

This fish has the largest eyes of any animal and is covered with light-creating organs. This allows it light up and off at it’s own will. Lives up to 3000 feet deep.
Long-nosed Chimaera

known as “Ghost Shark” and lives at depths of up to 8,000 feet. A touch of its spine and you’ll feel pain.
