
They bore into your head. They won’t let go. There’s no known cure. Earworms [songs that get stuck in your head] can attack almost anyone at almost any time.
I know the feeling of having a song stuck in my head. And I can assure you,
it wasn’t a good feeling. You just keep on hearing it. Over, and over and over. Interestingly, it’s surprisingly common, you could almost call it a disease by now! After a couple surveys, some very interesting results were found (quite shocking actually).
98% of all the test subjects had had a song stuck in their head at one or other time.
Out of all the songs that were stuck:
14% of the people tried to listen to the end of the song in an attempt to get it our of their heads!
