TVs are also a massive killer as hours are wasted watching TV. The Internet also plays a factor, but doesn’t account for everything.
Senior citizens were among the group who read the most books, alongside women. This is possibly a warning that the number of adults who don’t read books will probably climb if they don’t start reading.
The study also shows how lazy people have become these days.
Out of the group that didn’t read a book in the last year a third were men, and a quarter were women. Many of those surveyed also had a lower income and received less education than those who read.
